NO PRESSURE ON BALE

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has said that he did not feel any pressure during the weekend’s match against Real Valladolid. Madrid managed to beat their opposition 4-1 with the world’s most expensive player scoring a hat-trick for the first time in Real Madrid colours. Gareth Bale has slowly been coming back to his best after a tough start to life at the Santiago Bernebeu. He was clearly not fit during the first few matches of his Madrid life. Now that he appears to be at full fitness, the Welshman is showing that the money spent on him is worth it.

Madrid paid a world record transfer fee of £ 86 million in order to bring him to the Spanish club. However, Cristiano Ronaldo has been grabbing the headlines for his performances on the pitch, but he was absent for the match against Real Valladolid due to a thigh strain. He was also unable to play against Galatasaray in the midweek Champions League match. Bale was once again impressive in the European encounter, by scoring and creating many others, but he really shone against Real Valladolid.

“It was a massive blow not having Cristiano playing. For me, he is the world’s best player and we had to do a job without him. [But] I didn’t feel any pressure to be honest. I just want to go out there and enjoy my football and thankfully I scored a hat-trick. I think as soon as I scored the second I was trying to get the third. My teammates have helped me to settle in straight away,” said the 24-year-old.

He said that Ronaldo is clearly the best player in the world, but Madrid were able to play without pressure on Saturday despite missing him. Bale has also insisted that more is yet to come from him.
