Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with the Spanish club which extends until 2018
The star of Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with the Spanish club which extends until 2018 and with a salary of €17 million; the Portuguese player is one of the highest paid footballers in the world along with Lionel Messi and his teammate Gareth Bale.
By the time that his contract with Real Madrid reaches it’s end, C.Ronaldo will be 33 year old. The 2014Ballond’or winner still has a few more seasons and years left in him before the Portuguese player has to start thinking about retiring; C.Ronaldo is already being linked with a number of clubs and leagues that he is being rumored to join after his days with Real Madrid conclude.
Manchester United was the first major club that C.Ronaldo joined before he became the most expensive player in the world when he signed with Real Madrid for a transfer fee of €94 million. During his time performing with the Premier League club, he lifted a number of major titles including: UEFA Champions League, Premier League and the FIFA Club World Cup just to name a few.
C.Ronaldo has recently been rumored on making a return to Manchester United as it might just be the last club that he performs in before deciding to retire.
After having scored 31 goals in 25 appearances, it really does not come as a surprise to know that many clubs are interested in signing the Portuguese player but the problem that emerges when signing a player such as: C.Ronaldo is the fact that his wages is just too much for clubs to offer the Portuguese attacker and only a handful of teams are able to match his salary.
One of those clubs is Manchester United as the club is regularly ranked as one of the most valued brands and teams in the world of sports and the Premier League club has recently been struggling trying to make some of their own stars prove their worth. Robin van Persie, RadamelFalcao and Wayne Rooney all have not managed to live up to the expectations that was created when the trio of attacking stars were formed.
The arrival of C.Ronaldo could possibly solve some of the issues that Manchester United has been going through but it remains uncertain if the Portuguese player will be able to continue scoring goals at a consistent basis and perform at a high level when he reaches the 33 years of age.
There is a possibility however that C.Ronaldo could return to Old Trafford as an assistant to the coach instead of actually being a player, this is something that Manchester United has been doing more increasingly with their former star players and Ryan Giggs is an example of this as the Welsh midfielder retired from playing but still remains playing a huge role in the club as an assistant of Louis van Gaal.
