RONALDO FANCIES MLS MOVE

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he wants to become the next David Beckham by moving to the MLS when he thinks that that he is coming to the end of his career.

The 35-year-old former Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham is regarded as an icon in the MLS. Despite moving to the MLS, the former Manchester United striker still remains as one of the highest earning footballers in the world, who also enjoys a great profile. Cristiano Ronaldo has been very similar in terms of his career with the former Manchester United star.

Cristiano Ronaldo has worn the same number seven shirt used by David Beckham at Old Trafford, while he has also made a similar move to Real Madrid. They were both loved at United, and sold man utd t-shirts by the boat-full! They need to spend four seasons at the Spanish capital before completing his move to the MLS almost 6 seasons ago. Even though David Beckham managed just one league title with the Spanish club, Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he has always thought of being the next David Beckham. The Portuguese attacker scored 50 goals in all competitions last season, which helped Real Madrid lift the la Liga title for the first time in three seasons. He is looking forward to winning the Champions League with Real Madrid this time around.

“I hope to come here to play one day. If I can help to bring better soccer here I can help, but I think they [MLS] are great, they are in a good way,” said the Portuguese attacker Cristiano Ronaldo in an interview given after the match between Real Madrid and LA Galaxy. Real Madrid are currently on a pre-season tour of the United States and have played a number of high-profile teams like the LA Galaxy along the way. Real Madrid defeated LA Galaxy 5-1 in this match.
