Ten Premier League (PL) stars have been named on the 23-man list of nominees released for the FIFPRO XIon Tuesday. Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the ten Premier League players on the list. Cristiano Ronaldo is back at Manchester United followinghis transfer from Italian Serie A giants Juventus during this summer’s transfer window. He has scored 13 goals in all competitions since his return to Old Trafford for the first time since his big transfer to Real Madrid over a decade ago.


Cristiano Ronaldo is not the only Manchester United player on the FIFPRO list. Red Devils playmaker Bruno Fernandes also made the list.

The other Premier League players on the list are Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, Manchester City central defender Ruben Dias and the Chelsea pair of Jorginho and N’GoloKante. The other Premier League stars on the list include Chelsea shot stopper Edouard Mendy, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and Chelsea striker RomeluLukaku.

A major absentee on the nominees list for the FIFPRO XI is Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah who’s the leading goalscorer in the Premier League. The Egyptian international finished seventh in this year’s Ballon d’Or ranking, but he didn’t make the nominees’ list for FIFPRO XI. He was the only player to miss out on the list from the Ballon d’Or top ten this year.

Salah has been the best player in the English top flight this season and he’s the leading scorer in the division with 14 goals. He has five goals more than the next challenger for the Golden Boot, Jamie Vardy. Retired England international Vardy has nine Premier League goals this season. In addition to his Premier League goal tally, Salah has seven goals in this season’s Champions League. He has 21 goals in all competitions.
