Juventus manager Max Allegri has confirmed that he won’t hesitate to rest Cristiano Ronaldo as the Serie A season goes along. The Portugal international made the shock move from Real Madrid in the Italian transfer window and he has since been handed his debut during the 3-2 comeback win over Chievo.
Speaking in a news conference, Allegri confirmed that he may have to offer the Portuguese with a rest every now and then and this should witness him drop to the bench, he said: “He has to understand that there will be times when he starts on the bench and then just plays half an hour. Even he will need a break at some point. At Real Madrid, he was excellently managed.Ronaldo trains very competitively, he takes nothing for granted and is a champion, building his own success over the years through hard work and sacrifice.He is a great example for the younger players and he raises our overall quality… Ronaldo is bringing a great enthusiasm to Italian football.”

La Liga and Champions League champs Real Madrid suffered a bad start to the forthcoming season with poor results in the pre-season games.
The friendly games in the preseason camp in the United States did not go as planned as the team struggled. The champs won just one of four games but the result won’t matter so much until next week when the full blown football seasonresumes. For now it’s a matter of optics as many predict the team might struggle to match last season’s brilliance.
The team was without star forward Cristiano Ronaldo as he was enjoying an extended break following his participation at the FIFA Confederations Cup and the birth of his twins. He was absent as Marcelo scored the deciding penalty kick that ensured Los Blancos defeated MLS All-Star team.

It is reported that Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has talked with Cristiano Ronaldo about his decision to leave Real Madrid.
The French coach has tried to convince the Portuguese international not to leave the Spanish club during the transfer window.
Zidane apparently told Ronaldo that he is an important member of the team and that he is looking to build the team around him. He told him that he stayed in Madrid the team could go on and win more trophies.
Zinedine Zidane admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo is an important member of the team not only when he is on the pitch and also in the dressing room. He said that the forward has a positive influence on all the other players and that he is an instrumental member of the team.
The French coach said that Ronaldo is a player that will be impossible to replace and that he will like to keep him at Real Madrid for as long as he can.

Cristiano Ronaldo is finding hard to replicate the sort of form that allowed him to win the Ballon d’Or last season.
The player has been struggling so far with injuries and had yet to find his best form.
Things have been so bad that the player was booed by his own fans against Malaga. Some pundits have argued that the player might be in decline and that there is no way that he could recover his best form. Indeed the player does not possess the same acceleration that he had in the past and has more and more problem in influencing games as he did in the past. Real Madrid continued their superb start in the new campaign in the La Liga, defeating Celta Vigo 2-1 despite the absence of key players.
Isco missed the game as he picked up a knock on his ankle. The 24-year old was ruled out of the game, joining a host of other stars on the sidelines for Madrid. Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo remain yet to return to full fitness, even as the Champions League gets set to begin.
“He’s got some discomfort in his ankle. Last week, he took a knock on his ankle and he’s still not recovered. He left the training session and he won’t be with us tomorrow,” coach Zinedine Zidane said.
There are speculations that James Rodriguez and Raphael Varane could be on their way out of Madrid, and Zidane dropped a hint when he said: “Anything can happen until the 31st. Nobody is coming in, that’s certain, but it’s possible some may leave.”
